CoverThe Lightcap is the debut speculative science fiction novel by author Dan Marshall. It was written during NaNoWriMo 2012.

The novel is set in the late 21st century, after American society has undergone social and political upheaval resulting in the bulk of North America being separated into Four Regions, two Corporate owned and two remaining Republics, albeit under much corporate influence.

The novel’s protagonist, Adam Redmon, is a don’t-rock-the-boat programmer who finds himself experiencing disjointed visions and ominous dreams after he and his team begin testing the prototype of a new device known as the Lightcap.

The Lightcap is now available. Ninety-five percent of the book was written in six weeks between November and December 2012, and the following six months were spent revising and editing the story. I hope you enjoy the book. Thank you very much for reading.
